Hearts of Oak will rise again – Aboubakar Ouattara

-

Hearts of Oak head coach Aboubakar Ouattara remains confident that the club is on the path to reclaiming its former glory, despite the likelihood of finishing the 2024/25 season without a trophy.

The Phobians ended last season trophyless and appear set for a similar outcome this campaign. However, Ouattara believes brighter days lie ahead.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s SportsNite show, the Ivorian tactician expressed faith in the team’s resurgence.

“A time will come when Hearts of Oak will rise again and perform excellently. It will feel like magic – a true moment of transformation and evolution,” he stated.

As the Ghana Premier League approaches its final rounds, Ouattara emphasized the importance of a strong finish.

“We’re taking each game seriously. Our goal is to win all remaining matches and finish strong,” he said.

Ouattara also acknowledged that if the club ends the season without a trophy, a period of reflection will be necessary.

“If we don’t win the league, we must reflect deeply and ask: What went wrong?” he added.

Hearts of Oak are set to face Berekum Chelsea at Golden City Park in their Matchday 31 fixture.
