Hearts of Oak will host third-tier side True Life FC on Wednesday in the Round of 64 of the FA Cup, with the tie scheduled to take place at the club’s Pobiman complex.
Head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani says the match offers supporters a chance to witness firsthand the progress the club has made in recent months.
“For me, it gives our fans the chance to come up and see what the board has done. Sometimes when I step into training, I feel like I am still in Europe,” he remarked.
Hearts, whose last FA Cup triumph came in 2022, are aiming to reclaim the trophy this season. Dramani added that the competition forms part of the club’s broader ambition to compete for every available title.
“We said we were ready to compete for every trophy at stake, so the FA Cup is just one of those trophies available for contest,” he said.
The coach also revealed that his team selection in the league match against Vision FC was influenced by the busy schedule ahead.
“That is why we rested some players in our previous game. It is a week where we will play three games… Karela is just at the weekend, and we are travelling to my hometown (Tamale), so we need to reload players,” he explained.
Wednesday’s fixture will be Hearts of Oak’s third home venue of the season, after previously using the Accra Sports Stadium and the University of Ghana Stadium.
