Hearts of Oak captain, Benjamin Asare, says the team is determined to win their remaining four matches in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League to secure a respectable finish on the table.
The Phobians currently sit 6th with 46 points after 30 games, trailing league leaders Nations FC by eight points.
Speaking to Hearts TV ahead of their Matchday 31 clash against Berekum Chelsea on Sunday at the Golden City Park, the 31-year-old goalkeeper expressed disappointment over their recent goalless draw with arch-rivals Asante Kotoko but emphasized the team’s resolve to end the season strongly.
“So far, with determination, we hope to win all three points in the rest of the matches so we can finish in a good position,” the Black Stars goalkeeper said.
Asare acknowledged the challenge ahead, noting that every opponent raises their game against a club of Hearts’ stature.
“We are not expecting an easy game, but we are working hard to ensure we can secure victory,” he said.
He also addressed the team’s struggles in front of goal, admitting that their finishing has let them down throughout the season.
“We are not under any pressure, but our major worry is that we are not able to score goals. But in training, everybody is very fit for the game,” he added.
Kick-off for the fixture is scheduled for 15:00 GMT.
