Hearts of Oak striker Hamza Issah is seeking to terminate his contract with the club over unpaid wages.

In a letter addressed to the club’s Managing Director, Delali Anku-Adiamah, and the Ghana Football Association, Issah’s agency, PROSPORTS, outlined the reasons behind the player’s request for contract termination.

According to the agency, Issah has not received his salary for September, October, and November 2025, despite his contract specifying a monthly wage of GHC 5,000.

After several attempts to resolve the matter privately, Issah’s representatives are now invoking FIFA’s Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players (RSTP), which permit a player to terminate a contract for just cause if wages remain unpaid for more than two consecutive months.

With three months of unpaid salaries, PROSPORTS asserts that the club has materially breached the terms of Issah’s contract.

The onus is now on Hearts of Oak to act quickly—either by clearing the outstanding payments or accepting the termination and issuing the necessary clearance.

The case highlights the ongoing need for strict adherence to contractual obligations in professional football.
