Ghana Water Limited (GWL) has announced the successful completion of repairs on the burst 42-inch transmission line at Kpong, restoring water supply to affected communities.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, GWL said the repairs were completed at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20, with production and pumping to the Tema Booster Station resuming at 9:00 p.m.
The company noted that water supply to Tema, New Town, Kpone, and surrounding communities was restored from about 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
GWL assured customers that supply will continue to stabilise progressively across all affected areas.
Management expressed appreciation to the public for their patience and cooperation during the repair period and apologised for the inconvenience, adding that further updates will be provided as necessary.
