The Prime Minister of Grenada, Dickon Mitchell, has arrived in Ghana for a two-day official visit aimed at enhancing diplomatic and economic ties between the two countries.
He was received at the Kotoka International Airport by Ghana’s Minister of Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Dzifa Abla Gomashie, and other senior government officials.
Shortly after his arrival, Prime Minister Mitchell participated in the inaugural Ghana–Grenada Political Consultation Meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting marked a key step in advancing political dialogue and broadening cooperation between Ghana and the Caribbean nation.
As part of his schedule on Friday, the Grenadian leader will hold bilateral talks with President John Dramani Mahama at the Presidency. A state luncheon will also be hosted in his honour before his departure later in the evening.
This visit reinforces the growing partnership between Ghana and Grenada, which has gained momentum following several agreements signed in 2024, including a visa waiver pact to promote easier travel and frameworks for closer collaboration in culture, trade, and education.
