The Awutu Ofaakor Circuit Court, presided over by Her Honour Nana Asantewaa Attakorah, has remanded 12 National Security officers and two notorious land guards in connection with the unlawful demolition of over 60 buildings under construction at Gomoa Akoti in the Gomoa East District.
According to earlier reports by Adom News, the 12 National Security officers and two land guards were arrested by the Gomoa Ojobi District Police Command for unlawfully demolishing people’s houses.

The suspects face four charges: conspiracy to commit a crime, using force and violence to prevent lawful landowners from exercising their rights, causing fear and panic, and obstructing developers from developing their land.
The accused remain in police custody and are scheduled to reappear in court on 4th March 2026.
Some victims present at the Awutu Ofaakor Circuit Court expressed their relief and satisfaction to Adom News over the court’s action.
Meanwhile, traditional authorities in Gomoa Akoti have urged the police to intensify efforts to identify and remove all land guards operating in the area.
