Family members of the late Kwabena Boateng, a 65-year-old security guard who was brutally murdered by suspected armed robbers at a One District One Factory (1D1F) company in Gomoa Akoti, have invoked curses on his killers, calling on the gods of the land to avenge his death.
The grieving relatives, speaking to Adom News, expressed their anguish and anger, raining curses on the yet-to-be-identified suspects and demanding swift justice from authorities.
Kwabena Boateng met his tragic end on Sunday night when the assailants attacked him while on duty.
According to reports, his hands and legs were tied with wire, and his head was covered with a black polyethylene bag before he was suffocated to death as the robbers attempted to steal two transformers belonging to the company.
The Benkumhene of Gomoa Akoti, Nana Amfoh Kutuusii, has appealed to the Ghana Police Service and the Gomoa East District Security Council to intensify security in the area to protect lives and property.
District Chief Executive (DCE) for Gomoa East, Margaret Naana Ackon, who visited the bereaved family to offer her condolences, assured them of her commitment to addressing the growing spate of robbery cases in the district.
She pledged to work closely with security agencies to curb violent crimes and restore peace and safety to the community.
