Goaso PIWC launches ‘Ministry to Celebrities’ initiative to drive positive influence

The Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC) in Goaso, Ahafo Region, has launched a new initiative dubbed “Ministry to Celebrities” to help public figures use their influence to positively impact society.

The launch attracted politicians, media practitioners, government officials, and church members.

Speaking at the event, Head Pastor Eric Herbert Acheampong explained that many prominent personalities, including Members of Parliament, Municipal and District Chief Executives, media figures, and business leaders, often find it difficult to attend church regularly due to their busy schedules.

He said the initiative aims to take the gospel to such individuals, guiding them to live purposeful lives that can inspire others. “Celebrities are influencers. When they live positively, their fans and communities are likely to follow their example, and this can contribute to building a better society,” Pastor Acheampong stated.

The Municipal Chief Executive for Asunafo North, Joseph Akparibo, commended the programme and stressed its importance in shaping society. He pledged, together with the area’s Member of Parliament, Haruna Mohammed, to support the initiative to ensure its sustainability.

Mr. Akparibo described the move as “a laudable step that will help leaders and public figures influence their followers and the wider community in ways that promote development.”
