The Ghana National Education Campaign Coalition (GNECC) has extended its warmest wishes to all candidates participating in the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), which commences on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.
In a statement, GNECC noted that this milestone marks an important transition in the academic journey of over 500,000 students nationwide.
As an education-focused civil society coalition, GNECC commended the dedication of students, the support of teachers, parents, and guardians, as well as the efforts of education stakeholders who have worked tirelessly to prepare these young learners for this pivotal moment.
“We recognise the challenges that many students have faced throughout the academic year, including limited access to learning materials, inadequate infrastructure, and in some cases, the lingering effects of disruptions to learning.
“Yet, despite these obstacles, the resilience, determination, and commitment of our young candidates have been remarkable,” GNECC noted.
GNECC further called on all examination officials, school administrators, and security personnel to ensure that the examination process is conducted with the utmost integrity, transparency, and fairness.
“We also urge candidates to approach the exams with confidence, discipline, and honesty, avoiding all forms of malpractice.
“To our BECE candidates, remember that this examination is just one step in your educational journey. Regardless of the outcome, your potential is limitless, and your dreams remain valid. We believe in you and are proud of your achievements so far,” the statement added.
GNECC reaffirmed its commitment to advocating for a more equitable, inclusive, and quality education system in Ghana—one that provides every child the opportunity to succeed.
