As part of activities leading up to its 30th anniversary on March 28, 2026, Globen School has made a significant donation to The Caring Hand of God Children Centre, an orphanage located in Kwabenya. The gesture was carried out on November 28, 2025.

The initiative highlights the school’s commitment to community service and reflects its core values of compassion, empathy, and social responsibility.

Speaking at the event, Director of Globen School, Gloria Obeng, noted that the donations came not only from the school but also from its learners and their parents. She expressed heartfelt gratitude to all who contributed, stressing that their generosity made the initiative a success.

Ms. Obeng explained that Globen School consistently encourages its learners to practice giving and caring, helping them build empathy and social awareness. She added that instead of marking Valentine’s Day traditionally, the school celebrates “Sharing is Caring” each February 14.

“Every year on the 14th of February, we don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day at Globen School; rather, we celebrate ‘Sharing is Caring,’” she said.

She further revealed that the donation exercise will continue next year, with plans to extend support to Adidome, reinforcing the school’s mission of nurturing a spirit of generosity among its learners.

Headmaster of Globen School, Samuel Delali Yeboah, also addressed the gathering, expressing his excitement about the initiative. He highlighted that the school has lined up several programs to express gratitude for how far God has brought the institution, including activities aimed at educating the community on the importance of giving and sharing.

Mr. Yeboah also announced a major milestone for the school, revealing that Globen School will represent Ghana at a robotics competition in China on December 5, 2025. He described the achievement as a proud moment for both the school and its students.

Assistant Headmistress Fortune Dzormeku shared her joy about the donation and highlighted upcoming events, including the Homecoming and Carols Night service scheduled for December 19, 2025.

“Homecoming and carols service, we have about fifteen year groups lined up to come and join us,” she said.

Rebecca Sackey, secretary and representative of the orphanage, expressed heartfelt appreciation to Globen School, as well as to the learners and parents who donated items. She encouraged continued support to help improve the lives of the children at the centre.
