The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has expressed its deepest condolences to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Royal Family, and Asanteman following the passing of the Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III.
In a statement, the GJA described the late Queen Mother as a revered leader whose life embodied dignity, service, and devotion to the cherished traditions of Asanteman, and the unity of Ghana.
“She was not only a mother to the Asantehene but indeed a mother to Asanteman and Ghana,” the Association said.
The GJA noted that Nana Konadu Yiadom III’s leadership, rooted in compassion and wisdom, reflected the very essence of communication, which resonated with the core values of journalism.
The Association further assured the Asantehene and Asanteman of the solidarity of the Ghanaian media, pledging to honor her legacy by sharing the lessons of her life with future generations.
The National Executive of the GJA will join mourners on Thursday, August 21, 2025, for the one-week observance of her passing.
“Fare thee well, Nana Konadu Yiadom III. May her soul rest in eternal peace,” the statement concluded.
