The Member of Parliament (MP) for Tano North Constituency, Dr. Gideon Boako, has pledged to donate 100 bags of cement to support infrastructural development at Yamfo Technical Institute.
The announcement was made during an exhibition event at the school, where the Constituency Assistant Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Agyenim Boateng, speaking on behalf of the MP, explained that inadequate infrastructure was hindering effective teaching and learning.
“Youth unemployment can be addressed properly if maximum attention is given to TVET education. As MP, Dr. Boako is committed to ensuring that Yamfo Technical Institute, which falls within his jurisdiction, receives the best facilities to improve teaching and learning,” Mr. Boateng said.
Meanwhile, the Ahafo Regional Director for TVET, Seth Asare Bediako, appealed to traditional leaders, companies, and other stakeholders in Yamfo to complement government efforts by supporting the school with additional facilities.
“The principal of this school has done extremely well over the years to improve conditions here. It is only proper that the chiefs also play their part, just like their colleagues in Gyedu and Adrobaa are doing for their TVET institutions,” Mr. Bediako noted.
Stakeholders say the initiative will help strengthen Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in the region and provide better opportunities for the youth.
