Ghana’s Asante-Kissi accredited by EISA as an international elections observer

Asante Kissi, a Deputy Director at the Electoral Commission of Ghana and an International Election Consultant, has been accredited as an International Elections Observer by the Electoral Institute for Sustainable Democracy in Africa (EISA).

He received the certification under the auspices of ECOWAS at a training session held for 14 participants from the ECOWAS sub-region.

The training took place between August 11 and 14, 2025.

Participants included three each from Ghana, Gambia, and Senegal, with one each from Nigeria, Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso, and Liberia.

Kissi’s extensive experience includes working on election projects in Liberia, Zimbabwe, Sudan, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Senegal, Gabon, and Malawi since 2008.

He has also collaborated with reputable international organizations such as IFES, NDI, IRI, IDEA, and ECOWAS.

A dedicated professional, Kissi has been with the Electoral Commission of Ghana for 29 years, steadily advancing through the ranks.

His career progression includes key positions like Electoral Officer, Senior Electoral Officer, Principal Electoral Officer, Assistant Director, and Deputy Director.

He is also the Executive Director of Election Consult, Africa, a consultancy firm that provides technical support and advice to EMBs and international CSOs.
