The camp brings together visually impaired young leaders from across the world to build leadership skills, confidence, and global networks.

The goal of this Global Leadership Camp for Visually Impaired People is to promote and foster positive change in the social environment surrounding visually impaired individuals in each country by identifying and developing future leaders within the visually impaired community.

The 3rd Global Leadership Camp for Visually Impaired People is currently taking place in Tokyo, having started on the 13th and is expected to conclude on March 19, 2026.

Participants were selected from across the globe, and Ramatu Salifu met all the criteria and successfully went through the selection process, including an online interview, before her final selection.

Ramatu Salifu, an employee of the Ghana Education Service, has been involved in blind sports for over a decade, initially playing the role of an athlete at the university level before transitioning into an administrative role.
