Ghana will now host the 2025 WAFU B U20 Boys’ Cup from July 10 to 23, following a rescheduling of the tournament originally slated for an earlier date.
The new timeline was confirmed in an official statement issued by the West African Football Union Zone B (WAFU B) to all member associations.
The tournament, which brings together seven national U20 teams from West Africa, is expected to benefit from the adjusted schedule, allowing teams and organisers sufficient time to prepare.
“The West African Football Federations Union (WAFU B) informs all member federations that the WAFU B U20 Boys’ Cup for the seven countries will now take place from July 10 to 23, 2025, in Ghana. This new schedule follows the initially announced postponement,” the statement said.
WAFU B also encouraged all stakeholders to continue their preparations to ensure a successful competition.
“We thank everyone for their understanding, commitment, and continued support for the development of youth football in the West B Zone,” the release added.
