Aduana FC moved to the summit of the Premier League standings on Friday after edging Heart of Lions 1–0, bringing an end to the Kpando side’s unbeaten home run this season.

The decisive moment arrived six minutes into the second half when Patrick Mensah struck in the 51st minute.

The forward burst into the penalty area, saw his first attempt blocked, but showed sharp awareness to calmly convert the rebound and give the visitors the lead in a closely fought contest.

Heart of Lions enjoyed extended spells of possession but struggled to turn control into clear-cut chances, failing to register a single shot on target over the course of the game.

Aduana were more purposeful going forward, managing three attempts on goal and making one count to secure a vital away victory.

The result sends Aduana to the top of the table, one point clear of their closest challengers, although their advantage could prove temporary with Medeama inactive this weekend following the postponement of their fixture against Bibiani Gold Stars.

Attention now turns to the Matchday 15 games, with Aduana set to host Hearts of Oak at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park, while Heart of Lions travel to the Nsenkyire Sports Complex to face FC Samartex.
