President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has welcomed the President of Sierra Leone, Julius Maada Bio, on his first official working visit to Ghana.

The visit will last from the 22nd to the 23rd of October 2018.

In a joint press conference at the Jubilee House today, both leaders expressed their warm and cordial relations existing between their countries and reconfirmed their determination to deepen and widen their bilateral relation for the benefit of both countries.

Both leaders reviewed the state of bilateral relations and confirmed that the current trade between the two countries was low and required new and additional measures to improve the level of trade.

They noted the need to strengthen the level of commercial relations between the private sector of the two countries and called for the facilitative role of the two government in bringing the private sector together.

President of Sierra Leone commended the president of Ghana for the implementation of the free SHS

“I have also implemented the free SHS in Sierra Leone for pre-school and high school student and seek for the experience and expects of Ghana to help implement free and quality education pupils in my country,” he stated.
