The injured persons are currently receiving treatment at a clinic run by the shopping mall.

The police, NADMO and other security agencies who arrived at the scene shortly after the incident that occurred around 12 pm cordoned off the area and managed to restore calm.

But Deputy Communication director of NADMO, George Ayisi told Adom News that full-scale investigations have been done and arrived at the conclusion that the venue is safe for the entire mall to be opened to the general public.

“NADMO has launched a probe into the collapse but since it’s now safe for us, we, therefore, declare the place safe for use.

He said NADMO’s own initial assessment revealed that the damage was not likely to cause other structural breaches.
