The inaugural Accra Book Festival, the largest public celebration of the written word in Africa, has been scheduled for September this year.

The event will feature a wide range of informative workshops, lively author events, book fair as well as rousing debates aim to inspire and educate as well as offer Ghanaians the opportunity to discuss the hot topics of the day.

It will take place between September 6 to 9, 2018 at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park in Accra.

The inaugural event is anchored on the theme, ‘Energising the reading public with quality and affordable books’.

The 2018 event, which coincides with the International Literacy Day, will have world-class authors, writers, publishers and thinkers in both our adult and children’s programmes designed for the reading public.
