Founder of Holy Table Spiritual Research and Healing Centre, Peter Hammond has reignited the long-held perception that some footballers rely on juju for performance enhancement.

According to him, there are players who, per the spiritual directions of their “spiritual fathers”, wouldn’t feel comfortable playing with other players.

Inter Milan midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah has pulled out of Ghana’s 2018 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ethiopia, a move many people have suspected was due to the return of the Ayew brothers, Andre and Jordan, into the team.

Inter Milan confirmed on Monday that Asamoah will not be available for the clash against the East African country on November 18 due to a recurrent injury.

But the man of God suspects Kwadwo Asamoah turned down the call-up on the advice of a spiritual father’s direction because of the effect of their presence on their careers.

“Kwadwo Asamoah is a good player to be included in the squad but based on what has been whispered into his ears about persons working against him, spiritually, he now fears everything”, he alleged.

The highly anticipated clash against the Ethiopians is expected to come off on Sunday, November 18, at the Addis Ababa National Stadium.
