Supervisor of the Task Force on the Retrieval of State Assets, Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC is urging Ghanaian actor, John Dumelo to immediately provide documents of the Toyota Land Cruiser V8 if indeed he owns it.

He could not fathom why John Dumelo has not cleared his name by providing documents to be subjected to a forensic audit to prove that the seized car is truly his.

He has warned that if the 33-year-old is allowed to go without being charged for his conduct, he may soon train the youth in the country to pick up arms and rob innocent Ghanaians.

“All we need from John Dumelo is to come out and provide documents to show that the vehicle is indeed his. It beats my imagination why he is still hiding. If indeed you bought a car with your own money and it has been seized, why you don’t bring any document to prove but rather you chose to hide.

“John Dumelo’s posture shows that he really has experience in stealing. You steal a car and then try to re brand it because you don’t want to be caught. In fact, when you leave John Dumelo alone in this country, he will end up training Ghanaians to be armed robbers and when you allow him into your house, trust me, he will steal your house and re brand or change everything to make it look like his and so he needs to pay for that crime” he said on Accra-based Neat FM.

The 33-year-old actor sent one of the cars, black V8 Toyota Land Cruiser with registration number GE 8118-16 to a workshop in Abelempke, Accra for total rebranding when National Security Operatives pounced on it.

But the Supervisor of the Task Force said Dumelo will be arraigned before court for attempting to rebrand the state vehicle.

He noted that the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) as well as the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI), are building a docket on that and at the appropriate time, he (Dumelo) will be arraigned before court.

“He should be charged with theft because this is a criminal offense” he stressed.
