Former President Jerry John Rawlings has criticised former Foreign Affairs Minister, Hanna Tetteh, for maltreating his wife, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings on several occasions.

According to the Founder of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), he would have grabbed any chance to campaign against Ms Tetteh who was then contesting the Awutu-Senya West constituency seat in 2016 on the ticket of the NDC.

In an address delivered at a Town Hall meeting of cadres and NDC activists at the Arts Centre in Accra on Saturday, Mr Rawlings said the former minister showed disrespect to the former First Lady at several high profile functions including squeezing Mrs Rawlings’ hand during handshake at an independence anniversary parade gathering.

He indicated that he would have focused his energy at the “Central Region against our own candidate called Hanna Tetteh” if he had the energy to involve himself in campaign activities during the 2016 polls.

  1. Mr Forever righteous Jj Rawlings, please spare us your comments. NDC would have still been in opposition even if you should have campaigned. The situation in Ghana in 2016 demanded a change that’s why the people voted NDC out

  2. Sam ,until u learn from ur mistakes which was glaring when the same person u insulting was signalling u be a good reasoning being else same punishment may metted out to NDC from the east.

  3. Why is it difficult for these arrogant NDC party members to learn a little from what is actually their biggest problem or mistake?
    I am at a loss the way they behave and the comments they make anytime the truth is told them?
    Mr. Sam Amo, who brought those conditions you claim were prevailing for Ghanaians to demand for a better option? Or you think Ghanaians just want a change? Do not be deceived, NDC would have won 2016 election hands down should the advise of some key personalities in the party.
    Even in opposition, NDC cannot learn from its mistakes, i wonder when they will learn!!!
