Football Scout, Ebenezer Sefa has advised that though there is sa light difference between football in Ghana and that of Zambia and Sudan, Asante Kotoko needs to work harder to qualify from their group to the next stage.

Kotoko is in group C of the CAF Confederations Cup with ZESCO United of Zambia, Al Hilal of Sudan and Nkana FC also from Zambia.

On Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports show on Asempa FM, the renowned scout established that one common thing with Kotoko’s opponents in the group is that physically they are strong but when it comes to skill and passion for the game, they are not ahead of Kotoko.

“There is not much difference between the level of Zambian football and that of Ghana, the only difference is that they are physically strong but when it comes to football, in terms of skill and passion, there is not that much difference.”

“With Al Hilal; fortunate for Kotoko, Kwesi  Appiah who is the former captain of the club has coached Al Khartoum in Sudan before, former Kotoko player; Augustine Okran and Abednego Tetteh were all in Sudan. Also, their weather and their pitch is different from that of Ghana and also, they have a lot of foreign-based players in their team,” he said.

Ebenezer Sefa insists that Kotoko needs to beef up their squad especially in midfield and in attack and therefore has suggested Safiu Mumuni and Richard Djodi of Ashanti Gold to them.
