The Northern Electricity Company (NEDCo) has hinted that it will hit the streets, work places and homes soon to prosecute people involved in illegal connections.
The exercise dubbed “operation save NEDCo now” was launched at its headquarters in Techiman in the Brong Ahafo region.
Public Relations Officer of NEDCO, Alhassan Abaabah told Adom News the move to collect monies in arrears from consumers and punish those stealing power from them.
“We are losing a lot of monies through this illegal connections. And so this operation is to arrest and possible persecute those who are found guilty of such activity to deter others from following same” he said.
Mr. Alhassan Abaabah further encouraged the public to seek redress from their offices instead of relying on middle men who end up duping them.
