Former Black Stars goalkeeper, Abubakar Damba has said that he will always bet his last cedi on Jordan Ayew.

The Aston Villa striker was slammed by many Ghanaian football fans due to his shambolic display against Uganda in the Stars opening in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.

Many called on Avram Grant to drop the striker in the game against Mali but after assisting Asamoah Gyan to score the only goal against the Malians and exhibiting impressive performance, the Dreams FC goalkeeper’s trainer says he will always bet his last cedi on the striker.

“I loved how Jordan played against Mali.” He said on GTV Sports Plus.

“The fans always like to compare him and his brother which I think it is not good to do that analysis but he was superb on the ball against the Malians.

“I will always like to bet my last cedi on Jordan. He is a good player and with his qualities that he has let all support him and I know he will continue to develop as the player we all want,” he added.
