The chiefs and elders of Akwapim Mampong in the Eastern Region are hailing the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo over government’s plans to build a museum in memory of late Tetteh Quarshie in the area.

The praises come after Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture; Catherine Afeku told Parliament that the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) and other stakeholders will soon cut sod for the construction of a befitting museum for the country’s cocoa hero at the Tetteh Quarshie Cocoa Farm at Akwapim-Mampong.

This move, the Apesemakahene of Akwapim-Mampong, Nana Kwabena Yirenkyi I said is a clear indication that the NPP government have the people of the area at heart.

He said he together with the people will support the project in any form to ensure that the people of Akuapem benefit from the project.
