The Ghana Meteorological Agency has issued a weather warning indicating that thunderstorms and rainfall will affect several parts of the country later today.
According to the latest forecast, most parts of Ghana are expected to experience mostly cloudy conditions this morning, with mist or fog patches likely to form over coastal, mountainous, and forest zones during the early hours.
However, the Agency cautioned that localized thunderstorms and rainfall will develop from late afternoon into the evening, particularly in areas slightly north of the coastline and within inland communities.
For this afternoon, areas expected to be affected include Ho, Koforidua, Akim Oda, Takoradi, Tarkwa, and Sefwi Bekwai, where thunderstorms and rain may occur.
The weather is forecast to intensify in the evening, with thunderstorms expected in Sefwi Bekwai, Kete Krachi, Kintampo, Goaso, Sunyani, and Techiman.
Meanwhile, the northern sector of the country is expected to experience slightly hazy conditions throughout the forecast period.
The Ghana Meteorological Agency is advising residents in affected areas to take precautionary measures, especially motorists, who may encounter reduced visibility and slippery roads during rainfall.
Residents are also encouraged to secure loose outdoor items and avoid open spaces during thunderstorms to minimize risk.
