Ghana closed the year 2025 ranked 72nd in the FIFA World Rankings released in December, maintaining their 14th-place standing in Africa. Both positions remained unchanged from the November update.
The year-end ranking reflects a slight improvement on December 2024, when the Black Stars were placed 77th globally.
Spain finished the year as the world’s top-ranked national team, followed by Argentina and France in second and third places, respectively. England and Brazil occupy fourth and fifth positions, with Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and Croatia completing the top ten.
In Africa, Morocco continues to lead the continental rankings, with Senegal second, and Algeria, Egypt, and Nigeria rounding out the top five.
Looking ahead, the Black Stars are scheduled to reconvene in March for an international friendly against Germany in Stuttgart as part of their preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
