Director General of the National Sports Authority(NSA), Hon. Robert Sarfo Mensah has assured that the Sports Ministry will do whatever it takes to ensure a successful Ghana @60 celebration 2nd leg game on Sunday.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko will host Accra Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on December 24th,2017.
The game which was initially scheduled for May 28th was called off after the Ghana Football Association failed to sanction the match due to the schedule of the Ghana Premier League.
However the NSA boss is confident the ministry will do its best to ensure that things move smoothly on the day.
“Come Sunday what ever role the ministry will have to play to ensure we have a successful match will be done”.
He also appealed to the referees who will be presiding over the game to be neutral and not bias.
“I will also take this opportunity to plead with the officiating officials to be very fair to all the teams ,so at the end of the day we will have a very professionally organized soccer game”.
Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak were given GHC 50,000 each as appearance fees and will receive the same amounts for the return leg. The overall winner will get a trophy which will be presented by the President.
The match will be attended by the President Nana Akuffo-Addo and other dignitaries.
