GHALCA, security agencies inspect Accra Sports Stadium ahead of 2025 President’s Cup

-

Officials of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), in collaboration with security agencies, conducted an inspection of the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday in preparation for the 2025 President’s Cup.

The inspection team was led by GHALCA Chairman, Mr. John Ansah, alongside other key members of the association.

Speaking exclusively to Adom and Asempa FM Sports after the inspection, Mr. Ansah explained the rationale behind the early visit to the venue.

The highly anticipated fixture between arch-rivals Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak is scheduled for Sunday, July 6, 2025.

This year’s edition of the President’s Cup will be held in honour of President John Dramani Mahama, who is currently serving his second term in office.

The President’s Cup is an annual match played to celebrate the sitting President of Ghana and typically features top-tier local clubs in a showpiece event.

To encourage maximum attendance and foster greater support, GHALCA has announced that admission to the stadium will be free for all fans.
