
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has levelled charges against Division One League side Golden Kick FC and their head coach, Nii Parker Hanson, following their MTN FA Cup loss to Asante Kotoko.
Golden Kick suffered a 2-1 defeat in the final held at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Sunday.
In the aftermath, the GFA’s Disciplinary Committee announced separate charges for misconduct.
Coach Nii Parker Hanson is accused of making post-match comments that allegedly brought the game into disrepute.
According to the GFA, his remarks about the match officials breached the Division One League Regulations and were considered inappropriate.
He has been given until Wednesday, June 18, 2025, to respond to the allegations.
In addition, Golden Kick FC face multiple charges under the GFA Disciplinary Code and Division One League Regulations.
The club is alleged to have engaged in conduct that included fans throwing objects onto the pitch and posting inflammatory comments on social media directed at match officials—acts the GFA says damage the integrity of the competition.
The club has also been given until Wednesday, June 18, to respond to the charges.
