
The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, has revealed that the winners of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League will receive a cash prize of GHC2 million.
The announcement was made on Tuesday during the GFA’s 31st Ordinary Congress held at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
Mr. Okraku also outlined a revised prize structure that will reward the top 15 clubs according to their final league positions.
The runners-up will take home GHC1 million, while the third- and fourth-placed teams will earn GHC850,000 and GHC750,000 respectively.
The new season is set to kick off on September 12, with the enhanced prize package expected to intensify competition throughout the league.

According to the GFA, this new prize structure aims to further incentivize clubs and raise the level of competition in Ghana’s top-flight football league.
