Chief of Staff Julius Debrah has hailed the newly announced partnership between the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and Adesa Production Limited, expressing confidence that the deal will significantly elevate the profile of Ghanaian football.
Speaking on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama during the official unveiling ceremony on Thursday in Accra, Mr. Debrah described the collaboration as a strategic initiative aligned with government’s broader vision of transforming sports into a tool for national development.
“The initiative we are launching today is a direct reflection of that vision. It stems from a directive to reposition sports — not merely as an expenditure item — but as a viable growth sector,” he said.
He applauded the GFA, Adesa Productions, and the participating clubs for what he described as a bold step forward.
“To the GFA, to Adesa Productions Limited, and to all clubs — we thank you for your boldness. The journey will not be without its challenges. But with commitment, transparency, and shared purpose, we will elevate Ghanaian football to unprecedented heights,” he added.
Under the new arrangement, Adesa Production Limited will handle the full broadcast production of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season, which is scheduled to kick off in mid-September.
As part of the deal, each Premier League club will receive GHS 1 million ahead of the new campaign.
