Gas Supply to Atuabo temporarily disrupted after technical fault on FPSO

-

A technical fault on the Jubilee Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel, also known as the Kwame Nkrumah FPSO, temporarily disrupted gas exports to the Atuabo Gas Processing Plant on Saturday, May 10.

According to a joint statement issued by the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) and Ghana Gas, the incident occurred around 4:30 PM.

Engineers are currently working with the FPSO operator to identify the root cause of the system trip and implement corrective measures to restore gas supply as soon as possible.

Despite the disruption in gas exports, authorities confirmed that oil production on the vessel remains stable and unaffected.

“We appreciate the public’s understanding and support as we work to resolve the issue,” the statement concluded.
