The Ga Mantse, His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, has paid a courtesy call on Ghana’s First Lady, Her Excellency Lordina Mahama, at her office in Accra on February 25, 2026.

The visit was to express his appreciation to the First Lady and the President, John Dramani Mahama, for their immense support during his recent accident and to discuss issues of mutual benefit.

The King arrived at the office of the First Lady flanked by a distinguished delegation of queen mothers, traditional leaders, and some industrious sons from the Greater Accra Region.

Their visit also symbolized the enduring bridge between Ghana’s royal heritage and modern governance.

The meeting was filled with fruitful dialogue on pressing national issues. Topics discussed ranged from advancing girl-child education and women’s empowerment to enhancing quality healthcare, youth development, and improving sanitation across the capital.

“These are matters close to our hearts,” stated the First Lady, Lordina Mahama.

The Ga Mantse took the opportunity to thank President Mahama for making time to visit him at the hospital after his recent accident in the Oti Region. He further expressed gratitude to the entire Mahama family for their selfless service to the Ghanaian people.

The First Lady expressed profound gratitude for the King’s visit.

“I extend my deepest thanks to His Royal Majesty for gracing us despite his recent challenges,” she said. “We wish him a swift recovery and God’s unwavering protection.”

In 2016, H.E. the First Lady of Ghana was enstooled as Queen Mother (Sompahemaa) of the Nkoranza Traditional Area, with the stool name Nana Akosua Fremaa Ampomah Sika I. She is also the Development Queen of Bodom and Ampoma in the Brong Ahafo Region, and of Anloga in the Ashanti Region.
