The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has explained that his ongoing Thank You Tour is not only to express gratitude but also to gather feedback from party supporters on the government’s performance in delivering its campaign promises.
Speaking to party faithful in the Effutu Constituency in the Central Region on Wednesday, February 12, 2026, Mr Asiedu Nketia said the tour provides an opportunity to hear directly from grassroots supporters about the party’s record in government.
“One of the reasons for this visit is to learn from you how we have performed as a government in fulfilling the promises made in our manifesto, so that the relevant authorities can address any concerns,” he said.
He stressed that feedback from supporters at the community level is crucial for improving governance and strengthening public confidence in the party.
“Party leaders must stay connected to the people who worked tirelessly during elections and continue to support our agenda,” he added.
Mr Asiedu Nketia noted that understanding the challenges faced by citizens in their communities would enable government officials to respond more effectively and deliver results that matter.
The visit is part of the NDC’s nationwide Thank You Tour following the 2024 general elections, which returned the party to power with a presidential victory. The tour is designed to appreciate supporters, review campaign strategies, and reinforce internal party structures across constituencies.
He emphasised that fulfilling manifesto commitments remains a top priority for the party in government, and leaders must be held accountable for their promises.
Mr Asiedu Nketia assured supporters that concerns raised during the tour would be forwarded to the appropriate ministries, departments, and agencies for action.
He encouraged party faithful to remain hopeful and committed as the NDC works to consolidate its gains and enhance its performance nationwide.
