Frimpong Manso stays at GoldStars for CAF Champions League

-

Bibiani GoldStars head coach Frimpong Manso has confirmed he will remain with the club as they prepare for their debut appearance in the CAF Champions League.

The former Ghana international was instrumental in guiding the Miners to their first-ever major trophy in the club’s history.

GoldStars ended the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season with 63 points, earning the right to represent Ghana in Africa’s premier club competition.

In an interview with Starr FM, Manso — who previously coached Nkronsah Warriors and Asante Kotoko — affirmed his commitment to the team ahead of this significant milestone.

“The management of GoldStars have categorically revealed to the team that we will play in the CAF Champions League next season. I’m staying on at GoldStars and not leaving,” he said.

He also expressed excitement about the new challenge, describing participation in continental tournaments as a new chapter for both himself and the club.

“Competing in African club competitions is a new adventure for me,” he added.

GoldStars are set to face Medeama in a coronation match at the DUN’s Park on Saturday, June 14.
