The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) has announced the death of its former President, Ebo Quansah.
Mr. Quansah, who served as SWAG’s fifth President from 2001 to 2007, was renowned for his professionalism and commitment to sports journalism.
Following his presidency, he remained actively involved with the Association as a Patron until his passing.
During his tenure, Mr. Quansah played a key role in strengthening SWAG’s advocacy for sports development, upholding journalistic standards, and celebrating the achievements of Ghanaian athletes.
His leadership and devotion earned him wide respect within the media and sporting communities.
In a statement released on Thursday, SWAG described his impact as “unparalleled” and noted that he would be “deeply missed.”
