Former Member of Parliament for Salaga South and the first Savannah Regional Minister, Salifu Adam Braimah, has passed away after a short illness.
The incident occurred at the University of Ghana Medical Center, where he was receiving treatment prior to his death.

The late Salifu Brimah, affectionately known as Uncle Salifu, played a key role in the early administration of the Savannah Region following its creation, serving as its first Regional Minister under the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Arrangements are currently underway to convey his remains to Salaga, his hometown, for burial in accordance with Islamic tradition.
He is expected to be laid to rest following funeral rites, as family and political associates mourn his passing.
