Former National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba constituency in the Savannah Region, Trumah Joseph Bayei, has passed away.
Mr. Bayei died after a short illness in Sawla on Monday, August 18, 2025.
His body has been deposited at the Sawla District Hospital mortuary ahead of funeral arrangements.
Mr. Bayei first entered Parliament in 1992 and served as the legislator for the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba constituency in the First, Second, Third, and Fourth Parliaments.
He was born on June 20, 1954.
