Former NDC Greater Accra Chairman Joseph Ade Coker laid to rest

Joseph Ade Coker, former Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), was laid to rest on Friday, August 1, 2025, following a solemn funeral ceremony attended by party leaders, relatives, and sympathizers.

The respected NDC stalwart died on Saturday, May 31, after a brief illness at the Bank Hospital in Cantonments, Accra.

Ade Coker was widely known for his strong opinions on national and political matters and earned deep admiration from the grassroots of the party.

He was first elected as Greater Accra Regional Chairman in 2009 and served three consecutive terms before losing his seat to Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore in the 2022 regional elections.

Beyond politics, Ade Coker also made significant contributions to sports administration, serving as a former Vice Chairman of the Ghana Football Association.
