Former Ghana striker Matthew Amoah has returned to his former club, NAC Breda, this time as part of the club’s technical staff.
Amoah joins forces with former teammate Anouar Diba, and both will focus on developing and training the club’s attacking players.
Speaking on the new appointments, NAC Breda’s technical director, Peter Maas, said: “With the addition of Matthew and Anouar, we’re adding specific expertise to the current coaching staff.
“Both have been doing excellent and focused work with our youth players at the NAC Youth Academy for quite some time, and they’ll now do the same with the first team.”
The club is struggling in the Eredivisie, currently bottom of the table with 13 points from 17 matches in the 2025/26 season.
Amoah enjoyed a prolific stint at NAC between 2007 and 2011, scoring 57 goals and providing 12 assists in over 130 appearances.
Diba also had a significant impact during his time at the club from 2002 to 2007, netting 20 goals and contributing 20 assists in more than 120 games.
On the international stage, Amoah was part of Ghana’s squad at the 2006 World Cup in Germany and scored 12 goals in 45 appearances for the Black Stars.
He will now work alongside former Ghana captain Andre Ayew, who recently joined NAC Breda until the end of the season.
