Former and current Ahafo Regional Ministers have teamed up to improve healthcare services for residents of the region.
During a courtesy call on the Kenyasi No.1 and No.2 palaces, former Regional Minister George Yaw Boakye told Adom News that he and current Minister Charity Gardiner are collaborating with the Ahafo Regional Coordinating Council and all MMDCEs to bring medical experts from the United States to the region.

The team of specialists is providing free medical care and medication at various hospitals across Ahafo.
Mr. Boakye emphasized that although he no longer holds office, involving the current minister ensures continuity and broadens the impact of the initiative, which he originally spearheaded.
Paramount Chief of the Kenyasi No.1 Traditional Council, Nana Osei Kofi Abiri, commended the move, noting that the mining-rich region faces numerous health challenges. He described the arrival of the additional medical experts as both timely and commendable.
The chief also praised the former and current ministers for setting aside political differences in the interest of residents and encouraged Mr. Boakye to continue leveraging his experience to attract further development to the region.
