The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the closure of the Premium Passport Application Centres in Accra and Kumasi, effective February 20, 2026. A press statement released on Monday, February 23, noted that the closure affects all applicants currently using these centres, including those with pending applications.
The Ministry has advised affected clients to visit the Regional Passport Application Centres for all passport processing going forward. Applicants who need assistance are encouraged to contact the Passport Office Client Service Unit at 0302-754-200 for guidance during the transition.
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to delivering quality public service and assured the public that efficient and effective passport services will continue despite the closure of the premium centres.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to take this opportunity to assure the general public of its commitment to deliver quality public service,” the statement concluded.
