First ever Volta TV station (V1TV) launched in Ho

Volta Region can now boast of its own TV station with well planned programs to go with including the news in both local and English language.
Volta 1Television [V1TV] was launched over the weekend at the jubilee park at the Volta Regional capital, Ho.
Programs launched include Morning Show, Ewe News, Political Program, Islamic Program, Ewe program, Music and Entertainment, and sports.
The Awomefia of Anlo land, Togbui Sri who was a guest speaker at the program said he was excited with the coming of the V1TV and hopes that Volta Region will have more developmental projects and investors in the region  as well bring employment to the teeming youth in the region and beyond.
“I believe through the V1TV,a lot of development to our region as well employment to the youth”  Torgbui Sri said.
He however commended the owners for a bold step and urged them to keep the standard in order to promote the region and its numerous tourists  sites.
Former Chairman of the GFA Dr Nyaho Nyaho Tamekloe in his speech said he was hopeful that the TV will do well just like others in the country .
He however bemoaned the workers to work hard and lift the image of the station and the region so as to bring development to region.
“I believe the V1TV has a bright future “Dr Nyaho said hopefully.
In his welcome address, the program manager for the station, Egypt Kudoto said V1TV, the first ever and only TV station to come to the Volta region has come to stay and will be a pivot of unity in the Volta region devoid of political interest.
He said, the staff are well groomed for the job ahead and will make sure that Volta region is seen at the very top with its great programs outlined to be rolled out
He also assured the traditional of the station readiness to making sure that tourism as well as the rich culture of the region  is well promoted in the region to attract  foreign investors to the region
“V1TV will give good publicity to our rich culture as well as promote our unique tourist sites  in order to attract good foreign investors “Kudoto assured .
The first television station in the region is powered by Broadcom Satellite Network and is on text transmission covering Africa and beyond and has  programs with local content   like Ewe Nyadzodzowo[Ewe news] as well as health and entertainment programs
Other programs includes Minyor [Awake] an Ewe program ,offshore politics [a political show] and morning show dubbed Genesis  as well Muslim  programs and many more .
The programs was graced by well known celebrities and dignitaries like John Dumelo as well as the Ghanaian boxer ,Issac  Dogbey and many others.
