A firefighter sustained injuries while battling a major fire outbreak at Ritz Junction near the Ashaley Botwe Taxi Station in Madina.
The officer, part of a team from the Madina Ghana National Fire Service, was injured during efforts to contain the blaze, which engulfed several commercial and residential structures.
The injured firefighter was rushed to the Madina Community Clinic for treatment.
Fire crews from the Madina, Adenta, and Legon stations worked for hours to bring the fire under control after arriving shortly after the distress call was received.
The fire destroyed multiple containers and wooden structures, but firefighters managed to prevent it from spreading to adjoining facilities.
