Firefighters from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) have brought under control a fierce blaze that swept through a section of shops in Dormaa Ahenkro, destroying at least four stalls.

According to emergency officials, the fire broke out in the early hours of the day and quickly spread through the clustered structure, fueling intense flames that threatened nearby businesses.

GNFS personnel responded promptly, deploying multiple teams to contain the blaze and prevent it from extending to adjoining shops.

Despite the swift intervention, four stalls were completely gutted, leaving behind significant property losses for the affected traders.

Fire officers say investigations have begun to determine the cause of the incident.

The GNFS has once again urged the public, especially market and shop owners, to adhere to fire safety guidelines and ensure proper electrical maintenance to reduce the occurrence of such incidents.
