A domestic fire gutted a garage being used as a storeroom at Spintex Mannet, near the Police Station, on Saturday, January 3, 2026.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) said the incident was reported at 7:21 a.m., prompting an immediate response from firefighters from the Trade Fair Fire Station, led by ADO I Dwamena, with support from an additional appliance from the Motorway Fire Station.
Firefighters arrived in good time and brought the blaze under control in a hour, preventing it from spreading to nearby structures.
The garage and its contents were completely destroyed, but no casualties were recorded.
Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing.
Meanwhile, the GNFS has advised the public to remain vigilant, observe fire safety measures, and promptly alert the Service in the event of a fire outbreak to help save lives and property.
