A morning fire on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, destroyed a commercial container shop at Agartha Market near the National Ambulance Service office in Koforidua.

According to reports, the blaze started inside the metal container around 10:00 a.m., quickly consuming the items stored inside.
Thick smoke filled the area as traders and residents raised the alarm.

Firefighters from the Ghana National Fire Service arrived at 10:04 a.m. to find the shop heavily engulfed. Although they brought the flames under control within minutes, the container and its contents were already partially destroyed.
No injuries or casualties were reported.
The cause of the fire is still unknown, and investigations have begun to determine what triggered the incident.
